If some may recall, back on April 29th, I had made a post in regards to a cool "very unique" hillbilly golf set that resembled a football field's goal post. Well, to my surprise, I had won this on Ebay for $1. Yes, $1! I couldn't believe nobody else bid. Also, to even sweeten this deal, the seller lived just 5 minutes up the road from me, so I didn't even have to pay for shipping. I must say, it was meant to be. So, here are the pictures of it in my living room. The football bolas are a heavy hard plastic and toss very well. 3 have a stripe and 3 don't to distiguish between players. I must say, I will get a lot of passerby's stopping by my campsite this summer to make small-talk about this very unique set by Budweiser. It even folds down to hang easily in the garage. Also, it has a zippered pouch on the back to store the bolas. I haven't seen this sold anywhere else online. Trust me, if I did, I'd let ya know. My wife said we aren't selling it. And I agree. It would take a 4-figured price to jart this from my hands, lol. ;D

Today I had found that Wal-mart is selling the plastic ladder ball version of Ladder Golf in the outdoor games sectoin near the camping section. I had taken a closer look at the Ladderball game made by Sportscraft, and I must say, it's really only geared towards kids (NOT ADULTS). The colorful plastic ladder is made of regular plastic, NOT rugged PVC as we know it should be made with. Also, the bolas are light-weighted child safe rubber/foam bolas, not the golf ball type bolas.
So, with this in mind, if one were to have the golf ball type bolas and they threw it at this plastic ladder, then it "might" crack when the golf ball hit it. So, I would recommend this set, which sells for $18.96, for younger kids (or adults to play with their younger kids).
If you are a teen or adult and want a good PVC set, then get it here at:

The HIGHEST quality bolos on the market are made by the Ladder Golf Game. I would highly recommend them to anyone and wouldn't personally use anything else bolo wise if I wanted pure quality. They are $12.95 (2007 pricing), not $10, but trust me, the extra $2.95 is well worth the money spent! Get yours today by clicking HERE.
Here's a picture of the rivet design that they use to set the rope in the bolo. They DON'T drill all of the way through the bolo like some others do (which looks cheap).

"This set is made of Diamond Willow Branches. The Diamond Willow Tree is native to a small area in central Minnesota. It is found growing in swamps and boggy areas. The distinct Diamond pattern from the knots in the wood gives it it's name Diamond Willow. Once brought in, the bark is removed and let stand to dry. The wood is sanded smooth and 3 coats of a clear sealant is applied. Sanding between each coat. This set is 40" tall and 28" wide. The bases are made of pine. Very sturdy and wind proof."
