Do you throw over or under handed? Most throw under, but I have seen those who like to fling it over hand. From the looks of the picture, one would really have to toss them pretty hard to hurdle that fence. I like to put a spin on my bolas when I toss them. It makes them sort of look like a propeller in mid-air as them move towards the ladder. This, in theory, gives it more of a chance to hook a rung. Everyone has their technique. What's yours buggs? By the way, what does "buggs" stand for? I will guess 41 is your age and not the amount of bolas thrown to land a rung, lol.
ROFLMAO! Steve, I was referring to the brick fence. Until you mentioned that, I never saw the ten foot wood privacy fence. I also toss underhand, with the same back spin technique you use. Works very well. The 41 in my name is the number of fences I've had to climb to retrieve bolas. No, not really. I picked that number because it is the hull number on the USS Midway. ( CV-41 ) She was one awesome ship! Next year, that number will also be my age. Why buggs? When I was a baby, my parents ( in baby talk non the less ) would refer to me as a cute little bugger. My older sister couldn't speak well yet ( she was young then also ) and tried to repeat that phrase. Instead of bugger, she would say booger. ( snot ) So the parents quicky changed the phrase to be "Braddie Buggs," And I have been somewhat normal since then, and still like the nickname.
