Ladder Golf, the popular outdoor game that originated in the United States by Ladder Golf LLC is now spreading around Europe, thanks to a guest appearance on the popular German TV Show called Schlag den Raab (German for Beat Raab).
On episodes of Schlag den Raab contestants battle against the game show host Stefan Raab. The contestants can win prize money of up to EUR 500,000. If the contestant doesn't win then the jackpot rolls over. In this episode the game of Ladder Golf or as they call it LeiterGolf was played.
It seems that this popular show is spreading around Europe pretty fast. The UK version of this show hosted by Vernon Kay began airing in April of 2008. The Swedish show hosted by Ingvar Oldsberg began in September 2008. The French version hosted by Carole Rousseau and Denis Brognart followed shortly after that in November 2008.
It seems both the show Schlag den Raab and LeiterGolf (Ladder Golf in the States) is really taking off around the World.
Over the pond in Austria (above video) it is called Leitergolf. ;D
