| | California Bean Bags **Cornhole** (Review) « Thread Started on Jul 9, 2008, 9:22pm » | |
I received my custom made boards tonight from http://www.CaliforniaBeanBags.com and let me tell you, I'm SUPER DUPER impressed!!!!!!!!!!! Owner Joe is an awesome air brush artist, carpenter and one-man sewing machine! His cornhole cases are second to none, made of durable duck cloth. He's the only one offering them custom sized to your specifications! He can also custom color them! Wow, and that's not all. He is also the only one (I'm sure there will be folks who will try to duplicate this) that offers the "built in" scoreboards ...... see pic below. They come in chrome. These are the same scorers you see built into pool tables. My wife and I think they are so cool!
Anyway, as soon as I had gotten the nicely packed boards home, I set them up. Since he sent bags along too (which he makes), I was a little skeptical about the slide. The bags were brand new and slick on the board from what I could tell before tossing, but as with most Cornhole bags, they slow down to a nice slide after about a 1/2 hour of tossing. Initially, the did slide slickly off, but I took them and threw them each against the boards about 20 times letting the dust come out and after some tossing they were PERFECT! Many many multiple hole in ones after hitting the sweet spot.
Anway, if you want awesome boards, airbrushing, bags, cases and scorers, well, then look no further than http://www.CaliforniaBeanBags.com There are so many things that make them unique from everybody else. They only call themselves California bean bags and not Cornhole because the word Cornhole still has another stronger meaning there, if ya know what I mean Vern. They use corn, not beans.
Air brushed! Duck cloth bags!!

I would not order from California Bean Bags. I ordered a set of cornhole bags and a washer set in July and still have not received them. After 2 months Joe no longer returns my phone calls or e-mails. It now has been over 3 months and nothing to show.
